Hello Tim! In article <D5HKwp.6G5 at news.cis.umn.edu> you write: >We are currently only using Linux on the Intel platforms because >it seems to be the most popular and well supported free unix. If >we get feedback from people requesting a *BSD binary, we will >consider devoting the time to install one of the BSDs (which >one?) and compiling Motif and Geomview. So far you're the only >one who has requested a *BSD binary. I cannot believe this. Most serious Unix users in the academic environment perfer *bsd over Linux, due to Linux's many shortcomings, especially on networked machines. I would like a Geomview version for NetBSD. But then, we have all your stuff on our SGIs anyway :-) Cheers -- Volker -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Die schoenste Nation ist die Resignation.
