[ REQ 5350]: saving a picture in camera

I'd like to save the image that is in my "camera" in geomview, running
on a Sun4 under Openwindows. I'd like to save to save the image as a
GIF, but if I could save it as PS or PPM then I can convert to GIF.

I tried clicking on the "PS Snapshot" selection in the external module
menu, but that produced a bunch of warnings followed by the error
message:
---
ld.so: call to undefined procedure _XtCvtStringToFontStruct from 0x132b98
---

Then I tried "Save" in the file menu, but I couldn't find any format
that I can use. One of the choices is RenderMan -- is Renderman part
of Geomview?

Also, for your information, I noticed the following limitation of the
save command: the save panel refused to appear (and geomview hung)
until I killed my running (but idle) external module.

Thanks,
Steve Vavasis
