Thank you very much for the response (re; OpenGL on DEC Alphas).  We'd be
happy to alpha/beta-test any code you have.  We have some Alphas with
graphics hardware, but can't take advantage of it with only the X libs.

I will poke around to see if we can get the Iris/GL libs, and if those will
utilize the graphics hardware
