Hi, there:
I am trying to understand how ginsu works. Though I think I
understand most of it, I still have some puzzles unsolved. Here I am
asking for some help from you. I am working on a program that needs
'cutting' function. It is very important for me to understand how ginsu
works. Your response of your earliest convenience is greatly appreciated.
1. if I understand it right. the update_transform(int skip) (l:67
in ginsu.C) function will inquires geomview about the transform of clip
plane and then update the equation for the clip plane used by ginsu WHEN
skip=1 or nonzero. Am I right?
I don't understand what it will do when skip =0. And
update_transform(0) is called in the following lines in ginsu.C:
l:226,227(why twice?)314
Is it true that when skip =0, the geomview will not write the
transorm info to ginsu, and hence the T[][] matrix in update_transform
will be invalid...? This is where I get lost. Maybe I am wrong, so please
tell me what I misunderstand.
2. Any particular reason why not to use the callback functions in
forms library so that fl_check_forms() will handle all the events for you?
3. What is the meaning and function of the global variable
'resworld' in ginsu.C? (referenced @ l:19, 122, 123, 125).
4. What is the meaning of local variable 'updat_count' in main()
in file ginsu.C? (referenced @ line:170,229, 310,312,315.
Thank you very much. I am looking forward to your reply. It has
been very helpful to me. Have a nice holiday.
