[ REQ 5705]: Re: WebOOGL on Nextstep!!!

Hello,

I'm interested in porting WebOOGL to Nextstep. It would be nice if =
I could get Geomview 1.5.1, which seems to be required.

Greetings, and (if somewhat late) a happy new year.

Hallo,

I don't believe it should be difficult to get WebOOGL to work on =
NeXTSTEP. The main incompatibility is the browser-control API; if =
you can figure out how to control OmniWeb via C/Objective-C code, =
it should be possible to port WebOOGL. (WebOOGL of course also =
requires Perl and Geomview on your system.)

The one other hurdle is that you probably need to ask the Geometry =
Center for the latest (pre-release) version of Geomview and =
WebOOGL code. Write to <software@geom.umn.edu> about that. I'm =
sure they would be willing to give it to you if you would do the =
WebOOGL port.
