Is this true or I am > doing something wrong ? Probably normalization is on, which causes Geomview to rescale each object individually to fit within the unit cube. You can turn it off via the "Obscure" panel, or by putting the command (normalization allgeoms none) in the ".geomview" file in your home directory.
