[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] [ REQ 5786]: data format for elipsoid?
Dear Sir/Madam: Your geomview works and looks great with three dimensional objects. I really like the package and want to use it to visualize the characteristics and relations of spectral signatures of different land cover types from satellite imagery. The problem at hand is how to great a data format in geomview to display an ELIPSOID rather than a SPHERE. Since an elipsoid has three different radiuses, the format for a sphere does not work here. Can you help me out with this problem? Or I really have create my own routine for converting an elipsoid equation into a series of surface coordinates? I look forward to your reply soon. Thank you in advance. Minhe Ji Department of Geography University of South Carolina jminhe at kirk.geog.sc.edu
