I am very impressed with the GUI for geomview. My main application area is in 3D biomedical imaging where I have gray levels defined on voxels at regular spacings in each dimension. Are there good tools for the DEC Alpha to convert such a volumetric data set to a format which can be geomview'ed? It seems that the .off format would work, but I can't seem to find any tools for the Alpha (nuages does not support it). Also, what is the practical upper bound on real time rendering speed in terms of number of triangles? I have some 3D datasets on the order of 256^3 voxels and perhaps 50,000 - 100,000 surface voxels. Any pointers would be a great help. Thanks, -Dave David A. Reimann Department of Diagnostic Radiology Henry Ford Hospital 2799 W.
