Many thanks slevy. I'm using geomview in a DEC-alpha with xwindows. With your aid, I have now the picture in a xwd format, but my color printer is not connected on the station (just a B&W laser one) so I have tried to put it in a format that the PC's softwares handles. unfortunately I don't have the package you suggest me (pbmplus), can I find it on web ? The geometric estructure I'm working on is a truncated octahedrom with a inner regular octahedrom that gives 64 vertex. Can I make planar cuts on the object ? I buit a Maple procedure to get the action of the operators of the algebra sp(6) and its subagebra (that characterizes the basis ) on these vectors (the vertex). With geomview I put a color ball on each vertex of the diagram, and as the action is closed in the diagram, I hope to see the changes that the operator makes on these vectors states on the screen by a change of colors ... It's part of the algebraic model for the evolution of the genetic code project. Geomview should help people see the simmetry properties of the code model interactively. goodbye, yours comments are very welcome, marconi
