[ REQ 5871]: Maple graphics Conversion

Today, I downloaded Geomview from your web site. It was installed on
the system, but the gvplot() function did not work. I know that it is
in the correct directory and the path is correct, because the command
readlib(gvplot) works and the online help for gvplot is available. To
my surprise, when I pasted the commands from the README.gvplot to test
this function, I recieved an error message. Here's what happened:

> readlib(gvplot);

proc() ... end

> my_plot := plot3d(sin(x+y), x=-Pi..Pi, y=-Pi..Pi):
> gvplot(my_plot);
bytes used=430732, alloc=393144, time=0.87

----
The above text was generated by the text version of maple. xmaple
displays no errors, but also yeilds no results.

A Geomview process is started, but nothing is displayed.

Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.
