First, you should be able to grab a Solaris binary for Geomview 1.5
(almost 1.6) from geom.umn.edu as
	priv/slevy/gvx.solaris-X11.gz
That's just a gzipped binary, not a tar file; decompress it, chmod +x, and
replace .../Geomview/bin/sun4/gvx with the above file.  It was compiled with
lots of optimization using Sun's cc.

As for compiling the 1.5 source under Solaris, I'm not sure, but think it works.
The above binary has some nice features, though, like Tim Rowley's Postscript
save-option.
