It looks as though you're on a Sun running Solaris -- is that right?
If so, though not formally released, there's a later copy of geomview
for Solaris which includes Tim Rowley's Postscript Snapshot feature
at geom.umn.edu in
	priv/slevy/gvx.solaris-X11.gz
gunzip, chmod +x, and put this file (just a compressed Solaris executable,
not a tar file) in place of
	...whatever.../Geomview/bin/sun4/gvx
(probably after saving the old copy of gvx first for safe keeping).
You'll then find a "Postscript" option on the list of types on the Save panel.
It should preserve colors correctly, though hidden-surface removal
may or may not work depending on the scene.
