I created a ".off" terrain file and was able to view it with Geomview however I have two additional needs which I wondered whether Geomview (or another Geometry Center application) could support. I am currently using an SGI machine. 1) I would like to be able to map textures onto my triangular polygons. 2) I would like to be able to override the various geometric transformations that Geomview uses in order to study the effects of various transformations on the output. This would include perspective transformations as well as all the others. The WEB site documentation does discuss transformations but I found it too difficult to follow to get the big picture. What I really need is a list of all the transformation matrices (with actual matrix elements) used and a description of what each transformation represents and a vehicle for changing any one that I need to. Does this capability exist (partially or fully)? 3) Does the SGI version of Geomview utilize Open GL or just X11 with Motif? Note: I am fairly new to the field of 3D graphics rendering and therefore any assistance is much appreciated. --- Michael Plesac mplesac at mailgw.sanders.lockheed.com
