Hello Software Support, My name is Michael Plesac and I am employed by Sanders, A Lockheed Martin Company. I work in the field of aircraft cockpit displays. I recently started using Geomview to view 3D terrain which is represented by triangular facets. I do this by placing the triangles in a ".off" file. I am running Geomview on a SGI machine that has "OpenGL" installed. I would like to be able to map textures onto my triangular polygons and display these textured triangular facets using Geomview. Question #1 - Will Geomview allow me to display textured triangles? Questiion #2 - Will Geomview allow me to do the actual texturing? Question #3 - Does Geomview (SGI Version) utilize or support GL or Open GL? Question #4 - If the answer to "Question #3" is yes does this mean that there might be a way for me to modify Geomview so that I can add texture to my triangles? Question #5 - What would be involved in accomplishing "Question #4"? How would I go about it? (I already downloaded the source code from the WEB site.) I have found Geomview very user friendly and that is why I would like to be able to modify it so that it can support my texture mapping needs. If it is not possible to accomplish this, then could you recommend another application that you are familiar with which could fulfill the needs I have described above. Thank you for your help, Michael Plesac mplesac at mailgw.sanders.lockheed.com
