You'd asked some while ago about texture-mapping arbitrary polygons, as
in OFF objects.  Hope this is still of use to you; you can pick up
  ftp://geom.umn.edu/priv/slevy/gv-texture.tar.gz

which includes a geomview executable which does support textured OFF objects,
some sample objects including one STOFF, documentation, and a geomview
demo module which uses texture mapping.
