I'll try to ship the brand new Linux release of geomview,
   ftp://geom.umn.edu/priv/slevy/geomview-161b8-linux.tar.gz
(which uses current ELF libraries) over to the sfb288.math.tu-berlin.de
server soon.  Meanwhile, you might have better luck using "ftp" directly
rather than netscape; modern versions of ftp have a "restart" command
which lets you resume a transfer that failed after sending part of a file.
