[ REQ 6123]: Text in Geomview?

Hi there, I'm currently using Geomview to generate images on the fly
and store them into ppm image files. These images only contain
Geometric objects. I'd also like to add simple text to these images.
I've been looking at how to do this. I've first come across the
alphabet.oogl file. Using this method seems messy and I'm not sure if
I can scale the letters to what I need. Also, I've found something
called the labeller. This looks like what I could use but it seems out
of date and is only for sgi's. Has there been any update on this? If
I'm missing another method, could you fill me in? Thanks very much for
