[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] [ REQ 5581]: WebOOGL on SUN?
I am trying to run WebOOGL on a SUN SPARCstation IPX using Sun OS 4.2. When I try to use your 'Pear and Dodecahedron' as WebOOGL, the objects load but when I click on them with the right button, the URL for the new scene is displayed in the strip at the bottom of the screen but they are not accessed. I am operating through a proxy server. When I try the VRML version of the file, I get nothing in the camaera window. The one difference that I can see is that during the loading of the WebOOGL version, I see three listings of gvgeturl.perl in the Geomview Externel Modules window and there is only one during the loading of VRML. I never see a reference to vrml2oogl, only weboogl.perl. I have tried with both Netscape 1.1N and Mosaic 2.6 with the same results. I have done everything on your troobleshooting page except the $mosaic_cmd = 'xmosaic' instead of $mosaic_cmd = 'Mosaic' because the latter was not in any of the perl scripts. When I did add the line to weboogl.perl, nothing worked except Geomview starting. The only error messages I get are during the loading of the WebOOGL version, there are 4 messages about /usr/lib/libc.so.1.7 being outdated. Any help you can give would be appriciated as I need to give a demonstration of VRML using Suns in a week or so. We have Webspace running on an SGI but I need Sun also and VRweb does not do WWWInlines which I need. *************************************************************** V.
