Would you like to try a test version of the next release of geomview?
We don't have HP-UX 10 here, so I can't tell whether this actually helps,
but there have been some changes in the part of the code that might be
failing for you.

You can grab a compressed executable (compiled under HP-UX 9.03) by FTP from
geom.umn.edu as  priv/slevy/gvx-hpux.gz

After decompressing, this could be a replacement for .../Geomview/bin/x11/gvx.

Let us know whether this works.
